Providing LGBTQ+ Affirming Health Care
The Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) with the consultations of our clinicians and investigators created a training module for clinicians with the goal of enhancing their practice by balancing cultural knowledge and cultural humility in relation to gender and sexual orientation, learning about commonly used terms, and recognizing health disparities in the context of minority stress. The hour-long module uses video vignettes, discussions of personal experiences, interactive exercises, and an extensive resources section.
