Renato Barucco
Renato is the coordinator of our program. He is also the project director of Convoy Q, a study on social support, mental health, and successful aging in LGBTQ+ people. Renato’s expertise centers on implementing and managing access to healthcare and research projects, developing cultural competency modules and training curricula, and disseminating scientific findings to the general population.
Matei Vohr
Matei Vohr is the Research Project Manager for Project AFFIRM, a multi-site longitudinal cohort study examining trans and nonbinary identity development and health across the lifespan. Matei earned his master's degree in Public Health from the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, and his bachelor's degree in Biology and Global Public Health from New York University; he now plans a hopeful return to academia to pursue a PhD in Epidemiology. Matei's current research interests center broadly around the development and adaptation of measures tailored to gender minority populations; he is particularly interested in the operationalization of gender transition, including social, medical and legal factors, in quantitative research.
